Jittery video revisited

Control_Z wrote on 10/3/2002, 11:59 AM
I finally found a clip that VV3 consistently misinterprets as progressive scan. A small sample is at ftp://videx.serveftp.com/sclive_ohci_0001.avi (about 4mb). The clip renders jerky in VV3 but okay in Premiere6. Timeline playback is okay but I need to render due to disk space limitations.

Is this an sclive error we can tell the author about or is there a way to force VV3 to always use lower field first? Capturing with VV3 isn't an option as it discards DV audio channels 3&4.

TIA

Here is what I have started doing. I capture normally with Vegas Video and get the video with channels 1 and 2. I then recapture using Scenalyzer capturing AUDIO ONLY and specifying channels 3 and 4. I then add the .wav file and sync with the original clip - not elegant but functional.

Yes, Vegas NEEDS to capture channels 3 & 4!

Psst... Don't tell anyone but the latest sclive beta captures all 4 channels *at once*! Finally!

Where is the latest beta? I have the latest listed on their website (20020509). Is What is the date of the version you have and what is the link? This version says "Capture 2nd audio track (If available)" - or something like that.
