Jog/Shuttle Controllers

Does anyone have any experiences with the ShuttlePRO v2 controller from Contour Design? I'm looking for a jog/shuttle controller that can also control edit points etc and am wondering if that might fit the bill.

It's a little less expensive than a Mackie Control Universal - which doesn't seem to officially support Vegas these days.

Use that one all the time.

Not having my Shuttle is like loosing a hand.
The Mackie is Vegas supported however unless you're into real time audio mixing a bit of overkill although one can use it for RT video as well.

CSPro V1 here.

Only use it when I'm awake, not walking, not swimming or not driving in London.

Seriously? I don't even REALISE that I'm using it now, it is THAT natural for me. Using my LEFT hand to accelerate down the Timeline, at 20x, and simultaneously being able to use my mouse in my RIGHT hand to HIGHLIGHT an area must be my most used 1st level Editing procedure - that, and the real biz of actually repeated auditioning how clips "fall" together, as in Editing? Yeah?

I use my ShuttlePro2 a lot. You can define whatever you want each button to do.

I also use it within Cubase SX3, in fact, it'll integrate with absolutely anything and you can create a custom profile for any App.

What I also use rather than a Mouse, is a Cirque Cat Pad. Much better than a mouse and much less fatigue when doing long sessions.......

So it's Contour Pro in the Left Hand, and Cat Pad in the Right.

I have the original Jog Shuttle but still wouldn't be without it!

It's a 'must-have' as far as I'm concerned. Of all the 'extras' I've bought over the years, this is one of the few that I couldn't do without.

I could probably google a bit, but being lazy tonight, can someone provide links or at least manufacturers for those toys?

Thanks in advance.

So the general impression is that Contour Pro isn't too bad? ;-)

Seriously, many thanks for all the positive opinions, sounds like a great little tool so I'll pick one up ASAP.

Here's the link to the Cat Shop. http://www.thecatshop.com.au/
The one I have is the Pro Cat which doesn't seem to be on their web site. It has definable side buttons and slide and zoom areas. It works in the same way as most modern day laptop/notebook mouse pads.....only better.
