John_Cline HDV m2t to MY-HD?

Normally when rendering to player in the tool menu the Media Player automatically plays the file. Is it possible to have the MY-HD file player come up automatically instead of the media player when rendering out to an HDV 1080i m2t file? That way you could actually watch the rendered file on an HDTV or HD monitor. Just a thought. This seems like a cheaper way to go then the Declink card if it would work.

JJ,

I suppose that if you got into Windows Explorer and go to "Tools" > "Folder Options" > "File Types" you could associate the file extension, "m2t", with the MyHD DTV card and then Vegas might launch the MyHD card player. I'll mess around with it and see if I can make it work.

That would be really kool as I use that all the time to verify tricky areas with complex stuff. I could then see about getting a small HDV monitor just for that function. Those m2t files play perfectly in the MY-HD file folder if I change the ending to tp.
