That's to be expected with HD mpeg.

Try renderin them out as WMV 9. You'll need a beefy PC to play them well though.

Playing MyHD files from the timeline requires some serious CPU horsepower. My 3.06Ghz P4 can't play them on the timeline without some more-than-occasional glitches.

If I want to archive HiDef programming, I just leave the files on a hard drive as hard drives are relatively cheap these days. Otherwise, I convert the MyHD files to standard DVD. Of course, they are no longer HiDef, but Vegas will turn them into great looking DVDs. I use a program called X-Muxer to extract the AC3 audio from the TP file and then, if the program was stereo, use BeSweet to convert the AC3 to WAV audio. After renaming the TP file to MPG, I select the standard DV project settings in Vegas, place the renamed MyHD file on the timeline and add the WAV audio. I then convert the entire thing to 720x480 MPG file and author to a DVD. If the audio was 5.1, I just use the extracted AC3 audio when I author the DVD. It works great, but it is time consuming.
