Joining AVCHD files

Can someone tell me how to join AVCHD files in Studio9 WITHOUT recompiling the entire video set? Is that possible? If I'm coming in in AVCHD and out in AVCHD I should be able to get around the hours it takes to compile the video right?

I know Elecard can do it but I own Studio and hate to have to spend another $100 to get a different solution.

Thanks I'll give it a try but this following note on he thread is not very promising

Thread says....."Note: It does not work with files that were created at different times such as when one started and stopped the camera. At least it didn't for me."...

This is exactly what I needed it for..
