Joining multiple AVI files

I have 100 AVI files. The name of the AVI file is the time/date of the capture.

Is there anyway to put them all together in one AVI file so that either some or all of these things apply :

1. Each file name becomes a marker in th combined file
2. I can automatically insert an intro frame of the file name before each scene
3. I can put the file name along the bottom right
4. DO markers get saved into an AVI file or only an MPEG like file.

You can drag the files to the timeline and then Excalibur has an option to place a marker at the beginning of each event. Basically, scripting wil allow you to place markers, and even name them, as needed on the timeline. When you render the final AVI file, you DO have an option to save the markers.
