I'm using Vegas Video 2.0g under Windows ME, I have an AMD 1ghz processor on an Asus A7V motherboard, (Via KT133 chipset). My soundcard is a Soundblaster Platinum Live.
Vegas timeline playback jumps visibly, Premiere doesn't, however Premiere plays the sound down the 1394 cable whereas Vegas uses the sound card. Sound card problem perhaps?
Has anyone experienced problems with a similar setup, and did you manage to solve it?
