Is there a way you can make Vegas recognize the previous versions layout that the user configured. As a matter of fact, ALL the settings? If settings have been updated or omitted, then just default it. It's a minor inconvenience, but it would be nice.
Perhaps an option in the "save" command to save the specific layout for that particular project? That would be nice since depending on the number audio/video tracks I set things up differently.
Vegas is my second NLE. My first NLE, Fast video machine, authored in early 90's, produced a tiny file called work space. This had all the preferences including preferred project settings.
Being able to save settings would be really useful. I am in the process of moving (re-installing ) Vegas6,8 and 9 on a new PC and it's real pain, including everything defaulting to NTSC ( as PAL users in minority)
A utility that would transfer settings info to a text file could be a real time saver.
