Just a suggestion to Vegas team

Hi,
1) In pan/crop i would like to have a tool to change the form and the perspective of an image .
2) I would like to have envelope automations for each setting of a video effect like we found on audio vst effects, because when lot of settings are moved keyframe animation is not easy to use.
In Vegas 8 ?
Thanks

JV ..

1) That's not Pan/Crop. That would be Track Motion. Are you asking for the same tools in Track Motion within Pan/Crop? I can see that. Satish's 3-D is an event level thing. Pan/Crop is purely that.

2) I like that! But have you tried Rolling the Video and Moving one of the slders? You get real time Key Frame Diamonds splattering the the FX you are altering.

Grazie

hi Grazie, i tried Track motion (i am a little new with VEGAS 6) it's true you can change the form but i didn't seen how to modify persepective.
IE: when you enter in Track motion the worspace is a represented by a rectangle if you change the size of bottom side the upper side will have the same lengh, i would change the size of only one side, for exemple the upper side without change the bottom side to have a 'trapeze' form to generate a perspective, sorry for my english, i don't know if you understand what i mean, maybe Veqas have this fonction but didn't found it.
thx

What you want to do can be accomplished by using bezier masks.

Look in the pan crop tools and click on mask and play with that. You can actually use bezier masks to mask any shape. But if you want the frame to look like a trapezoid, this is very easy. Using bezier masks will cut out part of the frame though. I.E. the corners of trapezoid frame will not be visible on the smaller side.

You can also create a mask in Photoshop and use that instead of bezier masks.

If you want to change the shape of the entire frame, you might try the Deform FX. Actually I just looked and Deform does pretty much what you want.

"but i didn't seen how to modify perspective. . . for example the upper side without change the bottom side to have a 'trapeze' form to generate a perspective . . " Firstly your English is fine enough for me to understand. Don't worry.

OK, open Track Motion; Click on the "Source Alpha" menu - just below the "Preset:" text - yeah? Select 3D-Alpha . . you now have the full set of tools to change your Frame in 3-D space. Great FUN!!!

See the Window marked "Perspective" that is one of the ways for you to get going.
