I must sadly (or maybe actually gleefully) admit that the only reference i got was "vhs tapes". None of the gaming stuff meant a thing to me. That aside, it was done well enough that i got the point even still. :)

This afternoon I finally found a way to continue editing with 9.0 for more than five minutes without red thumbnails/Vegas locking up. I turned ALL thumbnails off, so I've spent hours working with plain grey Events - no heads/tails, no thumbnail timecode, which I usually use a lot when trimming. An interesting experience - good for the concentration.
It seems to have released more memory for Vegas to stay alive - I worked for almost 45 mins without crashing!!
Am I looking foward to V9.0b?
I want the guys at Madison to release it when it's good and ready, and hopefully I can now stop wanting that to be NOW. (Are we there yet? Are we there yet?)
Anyway, I enjoyed the Noob Boyfriend clip ;)
