haven't seen the boxed product, so can't comment on the audio you heard. Glad to hear you got it to load with no issues, but what all is in the box?

There were five things:

1. Vegas 5 & a 90 page (bound) quickstart manual
2. DVD Architect 2 & a 90 page (bound) quickstart manual
3. Screenblast Acid 4 & a 90 page (bound) quickstart manual
4. Vision Video backgrounds, etc. 2 disc volume
5. Keyboard command sheets for Vegas & DVDA

as well as the serial number for Boris, and something about Magic Bullet....and a little catalogue of Sony's loops for Acid.

4. Vision Video backgrounds, etc. 2 disc volume

That wasn't in my box...or envelope. Wonder if that only comes with the full version and not the upgrade version???

Hey, I didn't get no box!! Just the CD's and two manuals in a plasticine envelope. I'm gonna have to print the picture of the V5 box and glue it to an old Vegas Video 3 box.

My CD at least came in a Jewel case, looks like they have many diffrent packaging for the versions they are shipping out.

The Vision Series disc and Screenblast ACID 4.0 are part of a special bundle sold through academic and other resellers. The normal retail version and all upgrades do not come with these.

As we have done for the last few years, all of our upgrades are provided in a polybag. Everything from the retail package is included aside from the actual box itself.

HTH,
Brian

Yeah, mine was academic. It pays to be a poor starving student!!!

Just in case any of you cared....I am a full-time student at the University of Utah.

I work 40 hours a week (on campus, which gives me Staff status)

I also run a very small video business on the side. I do (mostly) biographies for people who want a unique gift for their spouse or parent....A biographical DVD for thier 50th anniversary or whatever....include interviews with their kids, siblings, parents, etc. Tons of stills of their childhood, and if they have home video they want, I'll put that on it too.

Love Vegas!!!

That's excellent to hear...from what I've gleaned, the Utah Vegas users are pretty sparse. It's good to hear of another. It seems like whenever I talk to other videographers around here, they ALL use FCP. Too bad they don't know what they're missing.

at least we have spot which makes for about 300 users

I already had the vision loops frm the Vegas 4 deal so I was just curious, I didn't need them :)
