I just upgraded to the new Architect 2 that came with Sony Vegas 5.0 production suite ... it won't let me take my edited verison of project from the 4.0 and move to the new verison. What's up with that!

All so ... I order a new computer and since I've regestered online with all sony software on the current computer I'm using is there going to be any problems using the software on the new one when it arrives?

Opening old files: Is your Vegas 5 / DVDA 2 from CDROM or downloaded? It from CDROM, it's probably the original release, which issues opening DVDA 1 files. I think this was fixed in one of the updates, so you should download the latest version.

Using the software on your new computer: No trouble at all. Just install it on the new PC and register again from there.

Rob ... thanks for the tip.
I'd just purchased the Vegas+DVDA2 production suite from B&H in NY, after downloading the 5.0 and going to retrieve my edit from 4.0 it wouldn't allow me to bring it over ... error message kept popping up. I just went to sony updates ... there were only 2 patches listed for DVDA. One for each. I just downloaded the patch for DVDA2, hopefully that's the one. Haven't tried it yet.
