.... SF that the three sticking points (individual track vol envelopes, CD-TEXT, and image file formats) are not 'the end of the world'. CDA5 already appears to me to be far beyond what I could ever have imagined or hoped for.

With these three things tweaked (plus other potential 'things' I haven't imagined and someone else may yet point out), it could be near the 'perfect application', without becoming an unfocussed overendowed behemoth.
