JVC camcorder

I have JVC camcorder GR-DVF21U and Vegas do not recognize it.In order to capture trough firewire I have to capture by Microsoft Movie Maker then import to Vegas. Any one have idea about driver I need to use in Vegas?

I'm not at all familiar with this camera, does it record DV or is it an mpeg stream on the tape?

If the former then VV should do the trick, if the latter then no VV will not handle it. Have you tried another type of DV camera / VCR to check that you have things right first?

What brand of firewire card are you using? Vegas is sorta finnicky about OHCI compliancy
