I want to tidy up footage by capturing it into Vegas (platinum), trimming the unwanted content and then to print the roughly tidied result back onto tape (clips kept separate on the time line, ie no transitions) for later recapture. In doing this I seem to lose the original time/date information and only get the printing time/date.
Is there anyway I can retain the original time/date in the rationalised footage?
