Keeping Preview in view while adjusting FX filters

Just about every way I have tried to keep Vegas from switching the preeview screen off while manipulating the FX plug does not work. I get either or it seems. Surely, it was not intended to make ajusstments and then swithch back to preview to see the results. Again, assistance with this one is much appreciated. It must be so simple that I can't find it.

Thanks..

Simple solution. From your description it seems the FX window got accidently "docked" with the preview window. Undock it (click on vertical line to left of window) and drag and drop elsewhere. I like to put mine with the other windows to the left where if you drop it correctly it will simply add another tab. This way you can have your preview showing while you adjust. Otherwise you're right. It doesn't make much sense.

Hi,

Do take note that whatever you see on a PC CRT or LCD monitor is not really what you would see on a TV or TV Monitor.

Thus it's better to send the preview out to an external TV before doing any alteration; FX, ....etc.

Believe me, it will save you lots of headache later on.
