Keeping Score

Anyone know what would be the best way to add a scoreboard effect to video? I have recorded a volleyball game and I want to track the score on the screen at all times. Other than using text and keyframes, is there another way to make this task simpler? Perhaps even on another tool? Some sample scoreboards would also help in case I want to add it as graphics over the text. Thanks for the input.

Leo,

I would use a Picture-in-Picture effect, with a picture of the actual scoreboard in the small inset picture. Since I doubt that you had a dedicated camcorder for just the scoreboard, you will need to overlay the scoreboard with updated figures.

Thanks for the images. They will certainly come in handy. Would you happen to have something in the likes of the images they use for the sports broadcast. Like the ones Fox, for example, use to show the scores? Thanks again.

LOL!!!! I'm afraid i'll come up short on that one. I gave up cable years ago and i don't even get the local station where i live. And even if i did, sports would probably be the last thing i'd watch. So i have no clue what you're asking for. Sorry about that. ;)
