Keeping Subtitles of my Video files

I have video1 & subtitle1, video2 & subtitle2, etc..

Using an NLE to take sections from each video is there away to keep the subtitle info that belongs with those sections intact during/after rendering?

Please be more specific about what you have set up (in DVDA? In Vegas?), and what you're trying to do.
