I'm getting closer to a point where I'm going to be shooting some running footage of yachts from both another boat and possibly a helicopter. And was planning on renting(at least the first time) with option to buy one of the Gyro stabilizers from Keynon labs. Bobbie Kenyon over there has been very helpful in answering my questions regarding the unit .But I'm wondering if anybody preferably w/ an FXor Z1 has used one,
a)if they liked it
b) which size (im thinking the KS-8 or KS-6 the 8 being heavier but more stable and faster pan rates.) and also ,
c)if its best to use with a larger external lcd screen
rental is very reasonable for a weeks use and Im sure that it will take a day to get used to panning rates and motion but it seems like a good solution for what Im doing.Plus the purchase price can easily be justified for its need in my case if it works for my
Just wondering if anybody has had their hands on one for real world experience. tips pointers etc....
