I did remember how to do Key Frames but I am forgeting something?

I go to the Media Genarator and then click on the TEXT option.

It just lets you put text on screen that is it but at the bottom of this windows is the Key Frame Timline.

Now the Tab that says Sycro to Timeline....I know you should click this befor you begain so the Main Timeline Syncs to the Key Frame Timeline.

But this tab is Grayed out I think and when I click on it it does not depress what does this meen???

And when you ad a Key Frame do you put the Cursor ware you want the Key Frame to be on the Main Timeline or the Little Key Frame Timeline???
