keyboard moving around in the trimmer

Is there a way to move in multiple frames distances in the trimmer without the mouse ?

I load an event to the trimmer, mouse click around the area I want - but then I want to advance or go back a bit as I choose my in and out marks. I really don't want to use the transport (jkl) keys since I don't want to hear the audio - I just want to go forward or back incrementally till I get the right spot where I want the In mark. Since I have let go of the mouse to choose the I key - I would like to keep my fingers on the keyboard as I look for that in point. So far, all I have been able to do is go to beginning of event or end of event with the ctrl + arrow keys, but not those multiple frame jumps forward or back that I would like to do.

Try using the Left and Right Arrows. Pressing Alt at the same time gives you very fine control (frame by frame).

Thanks Richard - but fine control is not what I am looking for - I am looking to move the line indicator 10 or so frames at a time - and not one frame at a time. I will have to reread my post - but I am looking for more keyboard shortcut key control of moving through the trimmer for setting in and outs instead of having to keep switching to the mouse. Maybe it is just me who likes to edit with the keyboard that way.

Try the right & left arrows. The farther you zoom out, the faster the arrow keys move. The more you zoom in, the finer the steps. Use the up & down arrows to zoom in and out.

The L and R arrows move several frames at a time - it's pressing Alt at the same time that allows the fine adjustment.

Thanks Richard and Kelly - I finally got it down - a lot of moving the fingers back and forth on the up, down, left and right arrow keys along with using the space bar for starts and stops and the jkl transport keys - but I finally got the flow going right - I have to say it is somewhat different than I have been used to, but it is actually kind of fun as well as fast now that I got into that flow. Don't know why it was so hard for me to get into the rhythm, but I got it down now. Thanks.
