I have a project with about 186 clips...is there a keyboard shortcut that will allow me to jump to the end of a clip? Something like Ctrl+right arrow does (but that takes you to the END of your entire timeline)? Thanks!
Ctrl-Alt-arrows are probably my second most used navigation tool after Alt-arrows. Incredibly handy. There are a few twists that can confuse you until you understand them though.
Ctrl-Alt-arrow keys on the current track. So, if you have 186 clips in the main video & audio tracks, but your current track is the music bed that spans the entire project then Ctrl-Alt-arrow moves to the beginning and end of the music bed rather than the individual clips. Choose the track with the clips in it first.
It doesn't actually key on event boundaries. It keys on event fade edges. This means that it often takes 2, 3, or 4 strokes to move to the next event. Imagine the cursor is at the beginning of an event that has fades at the head & tale. The first Ctrl-Alt-Arrow moves to the end of the fade in. The second moves to the beginning of the fade out. The third moves to the end of the event. If there's a gap between the events (which often happens if the frame rate doesn't match perfectly) then it takes a fourth to get to the beginning of the next. If you're on the audio track then it will key on the microfades that Vegas adds to every audio event.
Once you've got these things in mind and know to account for them, it works very well.
I also like Ctrl-arrows to move forward and backward through markers.
