Keyboard Shortcuts not working

Hello All....Has anybody had this problem? I have a Windows XP system/Media Center Edition. I am using Sony Vegas Pro 9. All of the click icons work, but most of the keyboard shortcuts don't. I tried a couple different keyboards, just in case, and checked the drivers, but nothing seems to work. Some of the keys that don't work are:

S - Split
I - in point in Trimmer
O - out point for trimmer
A - add video from trimmer to timeline

and many more.

I tried to uninstall the program and reinstall, but it didn't work. Any suggestions out there?

Thank you.

Same problem here. Tried reinstall and different keyboards... Any update on this yet?

UPDATE:

This worked for me:
Ok I have figured it out, all I needed to do was go to the start menu then, the program run, then (with your on screen keyboard) type in "msconfig" then click "Ok" go to the tab called "start up", and disable (or un check) the program called "GID Desktop Application"

i will now try to uninstall that program because i don't think i even need it.
I am not sure but i think that it is a program that comes with, "Constant Guard Protection Suite", From comcast. (it is not a virus, just very annoying.)

First of all Gill122 ... Thank you !! You were right. I had recently added Comcast Security and got the Constant Guard Protection. In order to solve the problem I had to uninstall the Constant Guard Protection completely. When I tried the msconfig method and unchecked the GIDD box, the problem was that my keyboard went nuts. All letters started typing as numbers etc. Once I uninstalled the Constant Guard, all of my problems went away and Vegas Pro started working great again.

The funny thing is, when I went to uninstall Constant Guard, their system asked me why I was uninstalling it and gave me choices. One of the choices was "keyboard shortcuts stopped working." They knew about it and never mentioned it at installation. Thanks Gill!!
