Keyframes in a clip (not a still)

To the experts:
Suppose I have a clip that is good except for a handful of frames that have some sort of problem. I think I could split the clip, capture the last-good-before and first-good-after frames as stills, and use keyframes in the stills to kind-of "fill in" over the bad part in the clip. Is it possible to do this inside an un-split clip (effect? pan?)? The manual only talks about applying keyframes to stills, AFAIK.

Thanks,
Don

Hi Don,

Are these bad frames singles or groups?

and how are they bad?

Weel Marty, I see several different little flaws that I'd like to fix. Camera shake on a long shot is one of them. Dropped frames during capture is another. Many of the flaws have other potential fixes. I can cut to another camera angle on many of them, but I was academically interested in the idea of a keyframe fix, if it is poossible.

Thanks

Hi Don,

For the camerashake I recommend Steadyhand by Dyanapel... (dynapel.com, consumer products)

For dropped frames, if they are singles, you *can* nip them out and replace them with a repeat of the prior frame, but more than one frame will likely be noticable.

If the video is a stylized piece, consider strobing (or stepframing) the footage... you can make all kinds of edits in strobed footage and cover a multitude of sins. ;-)
