Keyframes in Event Pan Crop?

Hello,

Is there a way to make the last keyframe in the Event/Pan Crop timeline stay at the end when the event is stretched?

Whenever I stretch the clip the keyframe moves to the center of the timeline causing the animation to end in the middle of the event.

Is there a setting to keep keyframes at the end of an event even if stretched?

No.

That must be something they changed since Version 6. In version 6, I put a keyframe on the end of an event and it stays put when I stretch or contract.

Are you sure you mean "stretch" and not just "extend". When you stretch a clip by Ctrl+Drag in Vegas Pro 8.0c the keyframes stretch too such that the last keyframe is still at the end.

If you mean "extend" then you will need a script to do this. Ultimate S Pro has a function on the Editing Tools tab called Adjust Event Length (Relative Keyframes). Using this will extend the event and move all the keyframes into relative positions from where they were to keep the end keyframe and the end and middle keyframes in the middle, etc. Without a script, there is no other way to do this except to manually move them.

Thank you very much for all you help all.

I mean extend as in extending a picture event. I have Ultimate S Pro and it is awesome! It's a wonderful tool in so many ways. I'll use it at the end of the edit session to adjust the keyframes.

Thanks again.

I agree.........It IS very annoying. You'll stretch something then render the project and then figure out your "slow zoom" stops 1 second before the end of the stretched clip. Sigh. Don't know a way around it.
