OK, 2 ideas:

1] Put Keyframes on one Image and Copy/Paste attribs to the rest

or . . .

2] Save your Stills project as, er StillsImage and then open a NEW Vegas empty project import StillsImage project as a nested veg and apply empty lens flare KFs to that. Since Vegas allowed for these nested veggies this type of work is very straightforward. Or I suppose you COULD import your stills as an image sequence?

3) Import the group of stills as an image sequence and then you'll have only one event.

4) Use the effect at the track level instead of the event level.

I'd go with #3 as it's way simpler than any of the others.

I like your 4] - Trouble with 3] is that you can't as easily work on just a single still as well as you can with nested or your 4]

Hmmm. I don't really see any difference working with 3 or 4 as far as individual images are concerned. But, if the material really is an animation, then there shouldn't be much need to consider individual images.

Thanks Grazie and Chienworks, the animation will be probably be at 15fps, so for the most part the effects will apply to many dozen images at a time. These are all great suggestions, I did not know about nesting. And for some reason I completely missed the track level idea. I should have known about that as I worked with Acid Pro for many years.

Thanks again!

Place a solid black media on top the entire length of all your events or pics add the lens flare to the black solid and animate
Your composite mode set to add
