Keyframing Event FX in Vegas 8

Hi,

I'm new to this forum. I've just updated from Vegas 6 to Vegas 8 and was extremely disappointed (read horrified) to discover that I can no longer key frame event FX. Is there something I'm missing, some box I haven't ticked or something else? Have they moved the keyframe option elsewhere? If I can no longer keyframe FX, I'll just do an uninstall and reinstall Vegas 6 and consider it an expensive lesson.

If this is just a glitch or a bad install, is this common and what can be done about it?

Here's a screenshot - notice the big blank space below the effects sliders, where the keyframe function should be.

I just did the typical noob thing and didn't do a proper 'search' of the forum archives - the issue has been dealt with before and has been resolved.

And since noone has given the actual answer yet, the keyframe area is resizable. Yours is currently resized to "nothing". Move the cursor to just above the bottom border of the dialog box, click and drag upwards. That will let you resize it however big you want it.

I was given the nickname 'crocdoc' by my siblings when I was studying. I'm a zoologist by training and my doctorate was on crocodiles, making me a crocdoc. :)

yeah, but if you play any sport you'll need a mouthguard that's half a metre long.
