Keyframing Media Generators

Hi there,
somebody knows why can't "SYNC TO CURSOR" while modifiying a media generated by keframes ?
I'm inserting a gradient media generated, and want to animate it with keyframes.
Sync to cursor appears shaded and is too dificult to syncronize that animation with the video output without sync.

Sync to cursor is "not included"... and would be a nice option for sure.
I had the same remark the first time I had to use it.
You have to copy-paste the numbers (timecode, bottom right) or drag the timeline cursor to the desired position.
Or make a loop, play the timeline and modify the keys while watching maybe? I didn't try this last one so I'm not sure if the MedGen window will stay visible...
