Kind of OT: SVCD on a Mac

Hi! I finished dubbing a bunch of old 8mm movies to DV and edited with Vegas. I created 2 SVCDs using Ulead DVD WS. I can play them just fine on my Pioneer set top DVD player and sent a copy to my brother who lives in Canada. His DVD player didn't like them so I told him to try it on his Mac (G4,OS 9.2), to no avail. Can any mac user tell me what he can do about it? Or is there no way a Mac can play a SCVD?
Please help!

Try posting your question on dvdrhelp.com. It's unlikely many mac users will see it here..
