Perhaps Sony could implement a Google-styled language interface. Switching to "Elmer Fudd" language would probably chill out most disputes before they even get heated up. Seriously, the Google language interface is kind of fun to play with.
No, I don't want Vegas bloated up. I do, however, want Sony to add features that would make my workflow easier, and make my end result more professional. Nothing screams "amateur" more loudly than a few misspellings in the title overlays. Cut/paste from another application can certainly work, but it is a lot of work, and doesn't help catch the mistakes I make when I later need to edit those titles.
I certainly don't want them to "bolt on" a spell checker, like they did with the horrendously bloated "media manager" database. However, if they could provide a link to the Google technology, that would be great. As I've posted many times, if Sony really wants to lead this market, they have to get FAR more serious in how they work with third-party developers.
Grazie, et al -
speaking of discovering stuff on Google - I just dowloaded "Google Earth". It's free and pretty amazing/fun. Gets even better when you sign up and pay a fee but haven't done that - yet.
Likely most everyone knows about Google Earth except me, but- I wonder if anyone has the paid version and how much more awesome than than the free download is it?
