L-R Channels Combine

My movie contains about 50 clips, and I want to use either "Combine" or "Both" on the audio channel selection because of the way the clips were recorded - some left, some right. So rather than edit each clip, I tried to do the whole movie, but it won't allow it. "Select All" doesn't help. Have I overlooked something?

Easiest way to do this to the whole project is the "Downmix Output" on the Mixer.
Another way is to copy one event on which you've combined channels, then select all the audio events and "paste attributes".

Wow! Method 2 worked perfectly, you can't imagine how much time you saved me.
BTW, I couldn't find Downmix Output on the Mixer, is that because I'm using VMS P9 and not Vegas?
