LAB Adujst at track level destroys colours (in some cases)

TTTT wrote on 8/21/2023, 9:24 AM

In Vegas 21, if I use LAB Adjust in track FX and some event has fade, colours turn greenish.

Actually it's not necessarily about fade but about transparency.

Is this something that should be expected? I remember some behaviours like this but I don't remember with what effects precisely.

+ maybe I haven't used LAB Adjust for a while.

Tried LAB Adjust on a single 4K XAVCS clip with fade and it all seems to work correctly, no funny colours unless you set the sliders to crazy positions. Sorry, yes when set to track FX it changes to green over the fades both start and end.

I've always wondered about the use of other color systems in the Vegas controls, except as they may be more familiar to some users. It all gets mapped to RGB for output anyway, which generally has less precision.
