I have asked support for help, but wondered if anyone else has had this situation:
I have an almost completed project, all data and files for which are on an external firewire drive. It was created on a Dual AMD 2000 destop. I have previously burned a "provisional edit" version to disk.
When I tried to open the project on laptop, I got the following message:
"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\Device\Harddisk1\DR3"
The project would not open. The Cancel / Try again / Continue options in this error message were all inoperative, and the only way I could recover control was to close down DVDA using the "X" in the top tight hand corner, then "End Now"
By experimenting, I have found that this message seems to be related to the DVD burner. There is no DVD burner in the laptop, but this should not prevent the .dar project from opening. If I reconnect the HD to the original computer, the project opens normally.
Any ideas?
