Lag while editing

Hi I'm experiencing some problems with vegas pro 17. I have a Intel i9-9900kf; nvidia rtx 2070 super, 16 gb ram ddr4.

While I'm editing a video the cpu is always full load and the preview lags. I don't know what I can do because it's impossible to work with this problems and I have to end a project until the end of this week.

What are your settings at Options/Preferences/Video and ..../File I/O? Screenshots please. Add these by this button

You showed the Options/Preferences/ File I/O settings that is set false for using your best GPU to give a big help for decoding. Choose in stead of QSV there for NVDec (Nvidia).
You gave not the settings for Options/Peferences/ Video. And can you also give your projectsettings?

Nothing wrong with those settings but if you don't use Dynamic RAM Preview you can try to set it to 0.
You need the last Studio drivers nr 442.19 for your NVidia GPU.

If all this does not help you, devide the project in different parts, make it all numbered vegs and at the end you stich the different vegs together for rendering ( all this is called the use of nested vegs, which I always use at long, heavy projects).

having issues with my video. I used vegas before a couple of months ago. Paid for it again and trying to make content and now the videos are lagging. Not sure why.
