Lanes creates straight lines of motion from keyframe to keyframe.

When you switch to Curves and right-click on a keyframe, you'll find the option to interpolate the line of motion so that it eases in, eases out, changes abruptly, etc.

And, yes, does indeed work, once you've created keyframed animation.

But you could do that before? Looking at the new text plugin, if you click on the little stopwatch next to a parameter you can see the animation timeline. The two buttons (Lanes and Curves) will let you click on them. Clicking on curves let you adjust the smoothness of the curve via handles like you can in a program like Illustrator. (I think you might have to right click on the point and choose manual from the list)

This is a great feature, but it isn't available on the video efx or motion. The presets are (smooth, linear, etc) but you can't edit the actual curve. Is this just something that the new plug-ins (using the new architecture) will have? If so, why weren't the standard video efx and motion features converted to this?
