Just on a whim, try setting your graphics accelerator at a lesser setting, such as 75% or so. See if that corrects the issue.

I use the eyedropper facility on a Dell Laptop. It works. I've used it for C/K and other stuff.

I really don't know why you are having this . . . do you have a conflict with other graphics packages using Eyedropper in thier own platofrm? I know I know I'm grasping at straws . . .but maybe just maybe, . . . . is there a change of icon "function" that is being shared with your mosue? Is there a conflict there? Have you tried out any of the other icon changing fucntions in V4? Do you get a blip with these? Maybe the E/D icon function has been screwed about with the install onto the Laptop? Reinstall V4? Do a Shift+V4 click on openning? This will be=ring everything back to factory settings for V4. You'll have to go and reinstate your own settings - yeah?

Have you done anything to your graphics card? Additional Monitors settings? . . . . . I trying real hard here!

Have had any crashes lately? How's your temp directory? Empty? Stuffed with old stuff? Defrag? Clean up? How much space have you now got on your Lappie? Are you using the same C: drive for both programmes and your video drive? I don't know, but it sounds like you are at the edge of your resources.

. . . you could always email SonyV4Techs too . . .

Regards,

Grazie

This is a very strange problem since I had my computer for only 1 week, stoped working after 3 days. I reformated and reinstalled, works now. I'll now have to check if the eye dropper works after every new software installation. Pretty weird.
Thanks for the help,

Nat
