Laptop mixing/recording with XLRs

How can I use Vegas on my laptop to record live events with my Shure M367 portable mixer that requires XLR connectors? How would I connect the mixer to the laptop? The 1/8" record jack on the laptop is kinda..."jacked".

You need a soundcard. There are several firewire/usb models now available. Do a search on the Sony forums and you will come up with some suggestions.

If you just need two channels and you have the need for
XLR mics on your camcorder that does not support XLR
a Beachtek DXA-8 ($360) or DXA-6 ($250) XLR adapter would be
a good purchase too.

I would use a firewire device over USB for capturing more than 2
channels.
