what you you guys recc as far as laptops
say Centrino tech vs Std P4
seems you can get a faster processor in std p4 than centrino
would definatly like a 17" widescreen display
uses are:
field work using DV Rack (would be using an external drive for capture)
maybe as a render client for Vegas
and poss another copy of Vegas for occasional editing.
this would involve editing of HDV material and Dv.
I'm thinking two ways, one, Centrino would have longer battery life if away from a power source.
two,reg P4 has higher processor speed for rendering, also I'm not sure if DV Rack will come out with an version that can monitor HDV through firewire, but im sure it'll require more horseys in terms of processor power.
I also dont want to(well, cant right now) spend big$$ on a laptop so I know I'll have to compromise, so your feedback is important so that I can make the best descision.
TIA
