I have reproduced this with Photoshop6 and Vegas 2.0d.
Saving the file as .png fixes the problem. We'll
investigate further-

Will this problem be addressed? I am running into the same
issue. TGA, being a preferred format for 3d rendering, is
an important file format. Also, Vegas doesn't seem to
support the alpha channel in TGA files which is a big minus

i have not used TGA files since VV2.0b. back then i found a
TGA file would display correctly IF it was 720x480 or a
multiple of that -IE 1440x960, 2160x1440 ... since i
already had tweaked my TGA files and none of them fit
720x480 i decided it was easier to convert the TGA to JPEG
and they then displayed without distortion in VV.
