I have a very large wmv file (about 13 gigs) of cctv footage that I am trying to edit in v5. I only want parts of this file to render back to a smaller wmv that will go onto a cd rom for evidence. I place the wmv file in the trimmer and it takes about 25 minutes to create waveform peaks. (nothing unexpected there).
But then when I take a section from the trimmer to the timeline and hit play, v5 crashes. Error message saying error encountered and must close. I have never had a crash with v5 yet, but this is the biggest file I have tried to work with. Could it just be the shear size of the file??
Any suggestions on other methods to do this would be most welcome.
