Latch solo function - where is it?

Hello there... I'm sitting here with Sony Vegas 7.0 doing audio work (yes I know - Vegas isn't an audio program, but tell it to my boss...)I'm trying to find the function to latch the solo button in audio tracks, but... I can't find it! Is it also possible to latch the record buttons for audio tracks?

I'll be most grateful for any help.

/Nils

Not quite sure what you mean by latch - perhaps grouping to solo or arm multiple tracks at once?
If so...
try selecting multiple tracks by ctrl+click on the tracks (hold ctrl, click track one header, click track three header) then either solo or record enable buttons will apply to all selected tracks.
Also for soloing you can create groups (I think this is in v7) aka busses and send all (for example drum) tracks there to solo the group.
Is this what you're looking for?

Yeah, I had trouble with "latch."
Could mean what I call "grouping," so all grouped buttons act the same. Arming/disarming one causes the rest of the group to do the same.

Or it could mean "lock," which would suggest that a button's condition can't be changed until it is consciously unlocked.

They DO latch.

You single-click the solo button, and it 'latches' in the new state - either on or off ! You aren't double-clicking the buttons are you ?

Vegas is just fine for audio work. In fact better than anything else IMO.

To group, select the events, "Edit> Group" menu or "G" keystroke shortcut.
In addtion hold the "Ctrl" key to select solo & toggle between tracks

I would guess your boss is older and/or wiser than you. No disrespect meant
