Latest update and activation on 2 machines

I have Vegas activation on 2 machines (laptop and PC). I installed the latest update on my laptop, and i got a warning to deactivate a device? So deactivate the actual laptop and then i could open Vegas? Is this a normal update procedure? I didn't had this issue with the previous update.

You should be able to have Vegas on 2 machines at the same time.

I know that... but i had to deactivate the same machine that i was updating, isn't that weird?

Yep. Weird. That should not happen for an update. I'd e-mail Magix support.

Perhaps something changed in your laptop that made whatever code Magix uses identify it as a different computer from it was before. Only a Magix programmer could really answer that since the id methods tend to be proprietary and confidential.
