Learn from the good guys

I was very interested with Johnmeyers statement recently about a person who used to post here

I thought his work was the most consistently wonderful, talented stuff of any event videographer I have ever seen.

I would give anything to learn from these guys isn’t there a way that that these clips could be posted and then guys like Johnmeyer give a breakdown
On why and what to aim for. I am a visual person if I see the goal post I am more likely to score more often

this site is great but I feel Technically orientated this might get some ballance

Yes. I'm in 110% agreement with the visual context idea - yes. Frame something using a picture - I'm there too.

Nice post WTFx!

Thanks Grazie

Also I am realy keen to view Muttley’s stuff. Will do at home this weekend. Everything is blocked here at work, they think pulldown is some type of porn

If the guys can just isolate one positive aspect and say this is what you want to do and this is not. The clip can be short

I liked the idea of Muttley posting his stuff but it should be here .the net is full of stuff , but here it will be the pros giving advice and posting the clips.

A lot of us would grow in your abilities and set higher goals in our projects

I agree. Muttley is brilliant. The man has an eye for framing a shot. Have you seen the music video stuff he has on his site? It's won him awards. I've met him twice at NAB and at the NAB 2005 show he gave a talk on how he shot those music videos. You would have loved that session. He shot the circular motion stuff around the band one-handed from the back of a pickup truck! It was seat-of-the-pants stuff and he basically just went with his gut. So the problem is... you need to have his gut to shoot like him. ;-) I'm serious. No trade secrets to tell, just pure talent. Like I said... he just has a "eye" for it. I have a lot of respect for people like that.
