Left and Right Audio Channel splitting?

Is it possible to seperate the left and right channels of a stereo sound track and apply a volume envelope to each. And a bus each would be nice.

Yes.

Right click on the event and select which channel you want to be played from that event. If you want the left channel on one track and the right on another, just duplicate the event on another track or copy the track itself.

I have now got rid of the VHS tape hiss problem I posted about.
