Legacy text

I choose in media generators, "legacy text", which consist of a solid background with a white text. On my computerscreen this "white text" is indeed "white". But when rendered on a DVD, playing on my tv-set....the white is "grey"...

Anyone with this experience or tips how to produce a "white text on solid black"?

How did you render and which tool did you use to make the DVD?

Check the rendered file & the .vob that was made to burn on dvd. If that looks correct them it is the DVD player/tv changing it to broadcast legal range. If it doesn't then when you rendered it was changed to broadcast legal. For that just change them render settings. You would want RGB 0-255 setting vs 16-235.

Be sure to check the files in Vegas and use the levels window. Make sure levels are showing 0-256. With solid white text it should just be lines at the 0 mark and 255 mark, or real close.

I know I have made 0-255 level DVD's for use on computers and projectors, so it is possible with Vegas and DVDA.
