Length of rendered video does not match length of project video

Vegas 20 Build 411

I am rendering about 70 short videos and noticed that any projects that are less than 2 min 40 sec will be rendered as a 2 min 40 min video regardless of the actual length. So a 2 min and 10 sec project will be a 2 min and 40 sec video with black video / no audio added to end. If the project is greater than 2 min and 40 sec, it will render a video of the correct length

If I create a selection of video of the shorter than 2 min 40 sec project and render with the "render loop region" box checked, it renders correctly.

Anyone else encounter this strange behavior? I have tested this with the MainConcept MPEG-2 template and the MAGIX HEVC/AAC MP4 template only at this point.

I have not seen this yet. Zoom in on your timeline at 2:40 and make sure there is not a random event leftover there.

(Head Slap) Good catch! There it was a single frame out there at 2:40:00.

I can't believe I missed that. That's what I love about this community. Quick answers for some of us "dumb" users. Thanks so much.

@psg8064 Hi, double click at the top of the timeline & the range will spread out to select everything in the project, you can then use the ▷I on the preview window Go to End & delete

Gid: Good tip. Thanks. I went and did that to about 50 of the videos where the single frame was at the end.
