Lengthen Audio Track

Okay,

I spent about an hour searching the "Help" for this but no luck.

I'm trying to find a fast way of lengthen just the audio track and leave the attached video track the original length but still have the two linked or grouped.

Is there a secret key for that? I tried control drag, shift drag and so on.
At the moment, I have to right click to remove the audio track from the group.
Lengthen the audio then select audio and video track and regroup.

That takes up so much time esp if I have to do it for an entire project.
Thanks!

Toolbar>Ignore Event Grouping . .this will separate the linkages Audio from the Video. Adjust video OR Audio event. Make sure you reset the Ignore Event Grouping , other wise you will get into a hell of apickl;e .. . I know .. been there!

or...
* select the audio event you want to change...
* hit 'U' (ungroup) this does the same as 'ignore event grouping' but will only do it for the selected audio/video instead of all events...
* Control + Drag your audio to the length you want
* select the audio & video and hit 'G' (group) this will regroup/lock the audio & video events

As you know, there is more than 1 way to do a task in VEGAS. Someone else could probably tell you another way but this is the way I do it.
