A few weeks ago I posted about a lens flare I got from my latest shoot. I finally tried out Vegas 5 and used the rotoscope tool to fix the problem. All I had to do was draw out the area, change the path mode to negative, put a copy of the clip on a lower track, and finally pan and zoom the lower track so the cut out section showed another part. There was a little feathering to make the mask seamless, but it really looks fine now even when played at full speed (rather than a snapshot).
I had planned on learning to output to photoshop and working on that for a few days. Now I don't have to learn that rick (yet) and don't have to repair 165 frames (5.5 seconds of material x 30 frames) by hand. Very damn cool.
