Libraries Missing in Vegas Explorer

Roger_Parker wrote on 11/20/2011, 8:39 AM
In Vegas Pro 11's explorer window the "Libraries" folder is Missing. The "My Documents" folder appears. Unfortunately, "My Videos, Pictures, Music are not located in "My Documents." They are located in "Libraries"

I am showing all hidden files, folders, and drives. File Type Extensions are NOT hidden and Protected Operating Ssytem Files are NOT hidden.

I have launched Vegas Pro 11 as an Administrator, looked on the web, and contacted customer support.

So, are the libraries suppose to be on the Vega Explorer and if so any suggestions to get it to appear?

This isn't a show stopper just a minor problem.

Thanks in advance,

Roger :)

Libraries are new to Windows 7. A library is not a folder or a file. It merely monitors and allows you to control files and folders stored somewhere else in "proper" folders.

My Pictures, My Videos and My Music are folders in C:\Users\username and Libraries merely reference those files (read more in Windows Help and Support).

Vegas Explorer (currently) only show real folders and files and hence will not show libraries. My Documents is also a folder under Users and hence is shown in the Explorer. If, in the Explorer, you navigate to C:\Users\username you will find all your "My xxxxxx" folders. I never use any of them since they are on the system drive.

Hope that helps
Willem.

Hi Willem,

Thanks for the reply. This doesn 't work either. The only folders that shows up in my user name is Thumbnails and drivers. The My... folders are there, when I click on exploere current folder, they just don't show up in the Vegas Explorer. Yet, My Documents does appear, My music, pictures, and videos does not.

@Roger. I copied some videos to My Videos and in the Vegas Explorer I get the following.
