License question

About three weeks ago I sent this quesstion to Sony and never heard back from them, so I thought I would ask here. I started out with VMS ver.6.0, bought the upgrade to 9.0, and finally bought the upgrade to 10.0. HD Plat. Production suite. I don't use ver. 6.0 anymore as I am happy with the ver 10 production suite. If I transfer the license for ver.6.0 to a friend at church, will I mess up my current license for the ver. 10.0 prod. suite? If no problems, then how do I do it?

Shouldn't be a problem. Many of us have done the same thing. Each license you get is a full license that stands on it's own, regardless of whether it was an upgrade or not.

Contact customer service. Give them the serial number of the license you are transferring and the name and contact information of the organization you are transferring to. They will invalidate your serial number and issue a new one for that organization.

Yes, but ... if you have used that license to UPGRADE, then the person who you transfer it to will not be able to upgrade to a newer version. They will need to purchase the FULL version of the newer program.
